ENGINEERING CHEMISTRY LAB
The main objective of the Engineering Chemistry Laboratory is to furnish a conceptual understanding of the basic principles involved in chemical analysis. Most of the experiments are correlated to theoretical concepts. This course lays the foundation of certain basic concepts and skills that can be repeatedly employed by students in their future endeavours.
The Engineering Chemistry Lab is equipped with instruments in such a way that it would excellently meet the requirements of engineering and technology students. The lab is aptly prepared to impart education in Chemistry in a neatly designed, spacious and well-ventilated laboratory with a capacity to accommodate 30 students.
Major types of equipment in the Engineering Chemistry Lab are Digital Conductivity Meters, Colorimeter, Pensky Marten’s Flash & Fire Point Apparatus, Electrical Balance, Distillation Unit, and Digital pH Meters. In the chemistry lab, students can deal with both volumetric analysis and physical chemistry experiments systematically and lucidly. Practical awareness is inculcated and students are trained both quantitatively and qualitatively during the lab sessions so that their understanding and problem-solving abilities can be enhanced.
ENGINEERING PHYSICS LAB
The Engineering Physics lab is common for all branches of the first year with facilities for the group of 30 students to carry out experiments independently. The lab is well-equipped and enables students to understand the fundamentals of Engineering Physics.
Major Equipment in Engineering Physics Lab are:- Newton’s Ring Apparatus, Millimetre scale grating, Solar cell, Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, Air wedge apparatus, Laser beam grating, Resolving Power Spectrometer apparatus, P-N Junction Diode etc.
DEPARTMENT LIBRARY
SH departtment has a well maintained department Library, which comprises of books titles related to latest trends as well as related to the curriculum of the students. There are also many general books, which are helpful for the students to prepare for the Aptitude Exams.
