Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has a department association "Vidhyut Tharang". Every year the association organizes various technical events such as seminars, competitions, exhibitions etc. The association is headed by the Association secretary selected from the students. Student representatives from every semester is part of the association executive committee. A member of the faculty will be the faculty advisor for the association. The committee discusses and decides on the events to be organized in a year. Department association thus helps students in developing their organizing skills, leadership skills as well as technical skills.

The inguration of  Electrical & Electronics  Engineering Association ESQUIRE 2010 was inaugurated by  Dr, Suprabha Bhai , Scientist  NPOL kakkanadu on 22 nd and 23^rd  February 2010

The inguration of  Electrical & Electronics  Engineering Association 2011 was inaugurated by  prof. P.V John  (Karunya university, Coimbatore)  on 29 th January 2011

The inguration of  Electrical & Electronics  Engineering Association  VIDYUTH THARANG 2012 was  held on 12^th  March  2012 by  Shri  V.K Krishna Rao , an eminent  Electrical engineering system Designer  and consultant , Former  Chief Engineer  of FEDO ,Udyogamandal.

The inauguration of  Electrical & Electronics  Engineering Association  VIDYUTH THARANG 2013 was  held on 11^th  September  2013 by  Shri  P.K  Asokan ,Chairman Vidya academy of science  and Technology ,Thrissur . Seminar and technical Quiz were also conducted as part of the association activities.
