The Department of Management Studies conducted a webinar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) by Mr. Anukrishnan T S on 23^rd February 2021. The objective of the initiative was to raise awareness about IPR and its significance in protecting the rights of inventors and creators. The initiative was aimed at the general public and students of the college.

The initiative started with an introductory session on IPR, its types, and its importance. This was followed by a session on patents, trademarks, and copyrights. The participants were briefed on the registration process and the benefits of registering their intellectual property. The session also discussed the various legal remedies available to the inventors and creators in case of infringement.

The initiative also included a practical session on drafting patent applications and trademark applications. This session was conducted by experts in the field of IPR who shared their experiences and insights. The participants were given hands-on training on how to draft patent applications and trademark applications.

. The participants expressed their interest in learning more about IPR and its legal aspects. The initiative was considered to be highly informative and beneficial, especially for students who were interested in pursuing a career in the field of IPR.

In conclusion, the collaborative initiative on Intellectual Property Rights conducted by the Department of Management Studies was highly successful in creating awareness about IPR and its significance. The initiative was well-planned and executed, and the practical sessions were particularly helpful in giving the participants hands-on experience in drafting patent applications and trademark applications. The initiative was considered to be highly informative and beneficial for the students, and it is hoped that more such initiatives will be conducted in the future to spread awareness about IPR
