The students of the 18th batch of MBA SNGCE were provided training on the topic of Production and Marketing of value-added agricultural products, with a specific focus on superfoods and their marketing and positioning. The training was done by Mr. Jerin Jose, CEO of Green Signature Organics.
GSO is one of the leading vales added food producers and a key player in the Agri-sector in Kerala. The training aimed to provide knowledge and skills on how to develop and market value-added agricultural products.
The students got an opportunity to learn about the properties of superfoods, how they are produced, and their potential health benefits. They were also trained in product development and production, including processing, packaging, and labelling.
Additionally, learned about marketing and positioning strategies, including market research, branding, and advertising, and exporting value-added agricultural products, including trade agreements, labeling, and certification. Overall, the training provided the students with valuable insights and skills essential for agriculture and food industry professionals.
The training on value-added agricultural products was extremely informative and engaging. Students also gained knowledge of the regulations and requirements for exporting value-added agricultural products, which will be helpful to students’ future projects and work. The training has equipped the students with essential skills and knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit them to work in the agriculture and food industries.
